I cannot believe the timing, Jeff! I just started to re-use another free weekly notion template which is designed specifically for content creators. This template is spot on for all working professionals and it’s definitely practical and aesthetic! Love your videos, Jeff. I have become a better working professional through your content, keep ‘em coming!
Love this. ❤️❤️ A reminder that its okay to skip a day but make sure to get back on track. Create less friction, reflect once a week is better than no reflection at all. But most of all, the color flip joke got me 😹🤣
Hey Jeff! I have been noticing people using Notion for a while and am really fascinated by its wide-ranging usage. I wanted to use it for a digital bullet journal (yes I kept writing for 3+ years) but did not know how to start. And there you are, with your video and super useful template! Thank you, and you are such an angel 🙂
Let me know how it goes Kayla! I do think there's a steep learning curve but once you get the hang of it you'll really enjoy how organized you are. Again, I want to stress the platform/tool itself doesn't matter, it's about your OWN system/process
Thank you for the video! I took a leap of faith, left my old job and is trying to venture into a new field. I was struggling to keep things together with the big picture in mind and still focus on the details. This notion template is a great help, a big big thank you!
Your cute smile and energy make it worth to watch. I use the same system, however from Neil Pasricha to write my index card routine - I will focus on, I am grateful for and I will let go of.
Jeff thank you for being an angel! Ever since I got a notion account I couldn’t figure out a template that would make my ADHD brain happy. Your template did the trick!
How do people charge for their templates? They just have to share a link, so even if they charge for it, anyone can just share the link to anyone for free.
Nice way to add Aesthetics to the Functionality! And I don't need to create headers for each section on Canva now! Jeff really is giving us the best of both worlds. Big thumbs up!
I haven't seen the video yet but I know it's super high quality and useful. I will see it latter when I finish some stuff. I'm here just to help with the algorithm 💫 📈
Hahaha thank you Carlos! No worries, real life needs are much more important than any RUclips video (even mine 😏). See you back here when you have ~8 minutes!
Well done! Keeping life organized is the foundation of success in every area of your life. It helps you maintain a balance in any activity and stay focused and productive.
Tip, so you don't have to throw your finished tasks. Make it a table, group it in "checked" and "unchecked". Then hide the checked group. That way you also will have a date when you did the change
Not exactly related to this topic, but I found (in)distractable from Nir Eyal very good to basicly set was essential and important and what was getting in the way and keeping me distracted from my goals for the day or "highlights", as you called them. Great video by the way 😁 watching it for the third time
Thanks for the template, Jeff! I love how you have a section for things to be grateful for :3 Sometimes we take what we already have for granted and keep reaching for something new even though that "something" might not necessarily give us more happiness And totally agree with your rant! I think learning from failure rather than avoiding it is essential for personal growth!
Great vid as always! Talking bout reflect, maybe show us the first video you uploaded on YT and review on it, and see how much you'd grown, and what are the things you'd learned, or you wish you would learn earlier. Cheers~ : )
Hi Jeff, I was wondering if you could make a video about performance reviews: how to prepare for them and navigate the conversation. Especially if there has been negative feedback shared with your line manager but such issues/solutions were never escalated prior to the review. It would be helpful to get tips on how to manage expectations early on so that you don't end up doing more than you're responsible for & burning out. Another question I had as well would be how to navigate the first 6-12 months in a new job. Some places do onboarding well and others, not so well, so it would be interesting to hear your thoughts on this. Are there any tips/best practices you have for transitioners? Thank you!
Starting with your second question - My "Succeed in the first years of your career" is dedicated to answering that very question 😁 For perf reviews, that will be in a future video!
hey there! got here from my suggested page and I can't thank you enough. I've been struggling to find a digital platform that can add to my hybrid planning system (i'm a pen and paper type gal but can't argue with the practicality of online systems) and although amazing i never figured notion out that well, your videos have been really helpful and the templates are *chef's kiss* thank you for your time and great content!
Hey Jeff, I was really fascinated by the youtube video planning you did with Notion. Would love to see a video and that, and maybe templates if you feeling extra nice :) It's all a bit overwhelming when you first start using notion
Great video, thank you. Question: how do you get your old (archived) weekly pages to disappear from the sidebar? I only want my current weekly agenda to show in the sidebar as opposed to all prior weeks. Thanks!!
Hi Jeff, love your content. I could spend an eternity on your channel to help myself grow. One thing I've recently been struggling with is how to set up my larger, long-term goals. Do you have any tips for setting up a yearly or 5-year plan?
Hi Felix, first off, thanks for the kind words! Regarding your question, I have a slightly controversial opinion: I think setting output goals is slightly overrated (e.g. I'm going to diet and get to 65 kg by year end). I'd instead recommend setting input goals you have 100% control over (e.g. I won't change my diet but I will go to the gym 3 times a week for at least 30 minutes for 6 months). Hope this helps!
@@JeffSu Thanks Jeff, that gives me ideas. I'll start by processing my results-oriented goals, considering the milestones I'm trying to reach, then establish my controllable, actionable tasks. To help me get started, I'll review your Projects in Notion video ;)
Just bought it, is so good I can't just download. Question: 6:58 he says a video about master agenda and link below, anyone knows which video he is talking about?
Jeff, do you have any suggestion to keep completed tasks visible? With moving them to archive the information when they were 'done' is lost. I think it could boost one's motivation to keep going/tracking if at the end of the week completed tasks would stay on screen.
But that would take up the entire screen right 😂. You could keep them under a toggle I guess but I specifically *don't* want to see completed tasks the next day haha (I like to start clean)
Hi Jeff Sorry to ask but I like the template but there is one question I wanna ask is it used in website or like Google calenders or we can install. In some platform? I hope you understand my question

Hi Jeff! I keep getting an error when I try to import your template to my account. I googled around to see what I can do but can't find anything. Any suggestions?
Jeff I have a question about salary negotiations! I decided to comment on ur newest video for a better chance at you seeing it. So I’m graduating and I have two full time offers. They both are offering me the same salary but one is in a city that is more expensive to live in. The recruiter called me yesterday, asked me what salary I wanted and I gave her a range, the mistake I made was the value I wanted was not the lower value in the range. She called me today and told me the offer would be sent in writing tmrw morning and ofc the salary is the lower figure of the range I gave her. I was super nervous so I said okay and thanked her. After looking at the price of one bedrooms in that city I realize that maybe I should’ve asked for more money. I’m a mechanical engineer and the salary was 65k, I’m thinking of asking for 75k but I already said yes to her over the phone. I’m afraid turning back now would ruin the dynamic I have w her and potentially ruin the job opportunity. Should I cut my loses or try to negotiate?
I actually reply to basically all comments regardless of when the video is uploaded haha Onto your question - I'm very hesitant to give advice based on extremely limited information you have given me (and not knowing anything about your background and situation). But I can say if you can bring up the rental cost research when you reach back out to the recruiter that would be much better than just asking for a higher pay with nothing to back it up.
@@JeffSu okay great, that’s for getting back to me. So if I said okay to the salary over the phone(since I have anxiety and I’m terrible with confrontation) and they send me the letter, with the salary that I said okay to would it be sort of bad practice to go back into negotiations(with the assumption that I do have a good case to make)?
Hey Jeff! THANK YOU ! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!! This is an AWESOME video!! EXACTLY what I was looking for! I've watched many tutorials and YOURS is the best! CLEAR, CONCISE, COLORFUL AND FUN! YOU are an EXCELLENT TEACHER! You definitely sold me on the app! Your template is PERFECT! I was wondering if I change the colors in the dialog box, do you have a list of what the equations are to change the color? You mentioned #FFFFFF is pure white. How do I find out what the other color codes are? I could have overlooked it but thought I'd ask if you list it somewhere. Thanks again!! YOU ARE THE BEST!! I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL! 💜
Fair question! I've honestly don't really have this problem since I have a bias towards action (I sometimes act too fast without thinking) but when I find myself tinkering with a tool or process too much, I give myself a hard stop (e.g. After 30 more minutes, I'll start writing this post) and time block another hour the day after or during the weekend to keep playing with the tool
To be very honest with you Josh, I'm not motivated all the time (it's a temporary feeling actually). It's really about building up self-discipline. You "force" yourself to do it whether you like it or not. I've trained my mind to think if I am not disciplined, I have "failed" and I don't want to fail. I'm NOT saying that's a healthy mindset, but it's the truth. And since you asked... 😅
@@JeffSu Firstly thanks for replying!! 😀So, I have gone to the link , but its showing something else not the to-do list you have just shown in the video.....🙄
There are several font options you can add without adding packages. A nice San Serif one can be added by doing \mathsf{ e.g. \mathsf{\color{#00A6BC}\colorbox{#3E4247}{MONDAY}}
I truly appreciated you sharing this type of knowledge with me...for FREE. I've binged watched all your videos and I don't know how I came across your channel but I'm sure glad I did.
Jeff as usual you have nailed it!! Just downloaded to my Notion. Dude I recently started using Notion and have had a bit of a hard time navigating through it. Overall I love the app and its super clean and I’m using it for writing my first book Amazon’s other things. Thanks again Jeff for hitting another home run.
I've been struggling with templates. I can't figure out what works better for me: Planning tasks on specific days of the week; or just plan overdue, today, upcoming.
Hey Karen, you're very welcome! I just watched his video, we probably got inspired by the same online templates haha, and I like his approach as well 😁. Thanks for letting me know (and watching out for me) Karen!
Thanks Jeff, I've read the book "Make Time" ;) "Highlight" is the activity of the day with the highest priority, and which is also protected in the calendar. Daily tasks are the other activities with not so high priority? Some of the things in the book are not new, including the ideas of what you can do to avoid being distracted. You also have self-reflection in your Agenda. "Let go" is a point for activities that did not go well and for things that you should rather "let go" of in the future?
"Let go" for me are things that are bothering me (for example I forgot to say hi to my colleague) and it's really not a big deal so I should let it go :)
Yes, that makes sense. I have adopted your system and it works quite well. Maybe you should make a video about your complete workflow, from the first idea to the task ;) I do it like this: - first planning and "bird's eye view" on a project with Craft - Collecting ideas, tasks also long term tasks in Things 3 (Todoist might be better because of faster input through the natural language). - Tracking of goals, projects in Notion (content tracker, goals tracker, project tracker....) - (New) daily/weekly tracking = your agenda in Notion (inspired by "Make Time" among others)
Have to admit that your templates are really the only reason I am still using Notion when I do. I'll modify as needed, but I wholly endorse this setup!
Jeff, please do a video on best practices for daily & weekly standups. Mainly, the template to use to structure the tasks as well as what tasks to focus on/how to word them. Thanks!
Hi Jeff! Please be an angel and answer my question (maybe a subject for your new video) - How do you keep your goals? I have a very nice organized plan for Goals (if you want me to share it with you), but I'm really interested in a place to keep them.
Depends on what the goals are and whether I feel like I need goals for that area of my life in the first place (work vs. side business vs. personal finances vs. health, etc.)
Thanks for the promptness! I would like to keep al my goals (personal, wealth, business, health) in one place. I use a great system for my goals, with key results, smaller goals per quarter and actionable steps. I achieved almost everything with it (yes, it was expensive 🫣) I kept them in Google Notes (enjoyed your video!) but I would like now to see them better and to have a progress bar or something like that.
@@FootballTradingAcademy Ahhh I see. I don't have anything so comprehensive (I mainly have work goals lol, and I just use a Google Sheet). But I think if you search for Notion goal templates and progress bar there are a bunch of a great examples out there!

Hi! Are you still using todoist? or only notion?
I use Todoist as my quick capture tool, and Notion to organize everything 😁
How can I import it tho, if I open it I am not logged in on the web version and if I try to it disappears...
You need to be logged in :)
Hey Jeff! THANK YOU ! 💜
No problem 😁! And for color codes you can just search online
You can find the other color codes online!
@@JeffSu Great! Thank you!
Why is the inline equation
not working for me
Which one?
Thank you so much
No problem 😁
one question: where's the point when you spend more time in organization than in make stuff done?
Fair question! I've honestly don't really have this problem since I have a bias towards action (I sometimes act too fast without thinking) but when I find myself tinkering with a tool or process too much, I give myself a hard stop (e.g. After 30 more minutes, I'll start writing this post) and time block another hour the day after or during the weekend to keep playing with the tool
@@JeffSu good advice, sometime I feel overwhelmed by my tendency to orginize as some sort of distraction

Thanks for helping other viewers Zoki!
I won't ask how much time did you spend on choosing the cover image and the icon. Really I swear I won't. 😬🤣😂
And I won't tell you ~30 minutes 😂
@@JeffSu that's because you are a genius. It's kinda cheating 🙄😂
I'm just laughing watching this (in a good way)
Hahaha great! Well I hope you still got some real value out of it! 😁
Hey Jeff. If you want to change the font of the text in the box, you can use this formula:
\colorbox {#333333}{\color {#FFFFFF}\textsf {SUNDAY}}
Wow thanks Caleb! Would all the free fonts from Google Fonts work? Or does Notion have a list of approved/allowed fonts?
Great
Thanks Jomation ;)
Talking style is awsome
Haha thank you 😁
jeff, how do you stay motivated? I feel like I can never get on top of all my work. I need 5 of me
To be very honest with you Josh, I'm not motivated all the time (it's a temporary feeling actually). It's really about building up self-discipline. You "force" yourself to do it whether you like it or not. I've trained my mind to think if I am not disciplined, I have "failed" and I don't want to fail.
I'm NOT saying that's a healthy mindset, but it's the truth. And since you asked... 😅
Mr. Angle , I am not able to use the template , Pls help...🥺
Which step are you stuck on?
@@JeffSu Firstly thanks for replying!! 😀So, I have gone to the link , but its showing something else not the to-do list you have just shown in the video.....🙄
@@adarshpandey8914 Can you send me a screenshot? A few friends just checked for me and it looks fine!
@@JeffSu At which platform , I should send it??
@@adarshpandey8914 instagram
Hey Jeff you links don't seem to be working?
Just fixed it. does it work now?
👍
😁😁
Jeff’s Notion aesthetic makes mine look bland, like really bland 👀
Hahaha well that's what the free template is for 😁😁
There are several font options you can add without adding packages. A nice San Serif one can be added by doing \mathsf{
e.g. \mathsf{\color{#00A6BC}\colorbox{#3E4247}{MONDAY}}
oh wow, I have to check this out. Thank you Vernon!!!
how can change font style?
I truly appreciated you sharing this type of knowledge with me...for FREE. I've binged watched all your videos and I don't know how I came across your channel but I'm sure glad I did.
Of course Tosha! You're extremely welcome! 😁
Glad to hear it. Let me know if you end up using this template 😁
@@JeffSu 100% going to and downloaded it already!!
I am writing a book there two. I embedded my manuscript from Google Drive.
I've been struggling with templates. I can't figure out what works better for me: Planning tasks on specific days of the week; or just plan overdue, today, upcoming.
Test each type for 1 week and see which resonates with you!
hey, Jeff! Thank you for sharing your template.
By the way, this guy's template looks a lot like yours

Hey Karen, you're very welcome!
I just watched his video, we probably got inspired by the same online templates haha, and I like his approach as well 😁. Thanks for letting me know (and watching out for me) Karen!
Thanks Jeff, I've read the book "Make Time" ;)
"Highlight" is the activity of the day with the highest priority, and which is also protected in the calendar.
Maybe you should make a video about your complete workflow, from the first idea to the task ;)
I do it like this:
- first planning and "bird's eye view" on a project with Craft
- Collecting ideas, tasks also long term tasks in Things 3 (Todoist might be better because of faster input through the natural language).
- Tracking of goals, projects in Notion (content tracker, goals tracker, project tracker....)
- (New) daily/weekly tracking = your agenda in Notion (inspired by "Make Time" among others)
Thank you for the template and subscribed..:)
You're very welcome and.... WELCOME! haha
Have to admit that your templates are really the only reason I am still using Notion when I do. I'll modify as needed, but I wholly endorse this setup!
AWESOME to hear that Matthew! Hopefully this one didn't disappoint 😁
I always enjoy watching your Notion video. They give me many ideas to organize my task, plan, and routine.
I'd love to see yours to be honest 😂. I get inspired by other templates as well!
Thank you Jeff for being an angel.. hahaha
You're very welcome 😁
Jeff, please do a video on best practices for daily & weekly standups. Mainly, the template to use to structure the tasks as well as what tasks to focus on/how to word them. Thanks!
Hi Adam, thanks for the idea! Just to clarify - What do you mean by daily and weekly standups? I'm assuming you mean for work?
Thanks Jeff, really helped.
Glad to hear it! No problem 😁
Cool ! Love the rant warning 😂
Hahahaha thanks Karim 😁
I achieved almost everything with it (yes, it was expensive 🫣)
I kept them in Google Notes (enjoyed your video!) but I would like now to see them better and to have a progress bar or something like that.
@@FootballTradingAcademy Ahhh I see. I don't have anything so comprehensive (I mainly have work goals lol, and I just use a Google Sheet). But I think if you search for Notion goal templates and progress bar there are a bunch of a great examples out there!
@@JeffSu thanks! I think I'll use ClickUp, it looks nice.
Let me know if you are thinking to do such a video, I can help you 🙏
